Kardinya Park Father’s Day AFL Competition – Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is Kardinya Park Shopping Centre (“Promoter”).

2. Competition period

The competition opens at 12.30pm AWST on Tuesday 25 August 2026 and closes at 5:00pm AWST on Wednesday 2 Sep 2026 (“Competition Period”).

Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be eligible.

3. Eligibility

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.

Employees of the Promoter, its retailers, contractors, agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

4. How to enter

To enter, eligible participants must, during the Competition Period:

  • Follow the Kardinya Park Shopping Centre Instagram account;
  • Tag their dad or father figure in the comments on the competition post;
  • Tell us, in 25 words or less, why their dad or father figure deserves to win the prize; and
  • Share the competition post to their Instagram Story.

If the entrant’s dad or father figure does not have an Instagram account, the entrant may give them a shoutout by naming them in their comment.

Each entry must be original and created by the entrant.

5. Multiple entries

Entrants may enter more than once during the Competition Period.

Each entry must meet all entry requirements and must contain a substantially different response to any previous entry submitted by the same entrant.

Each eligible entry will be considered separately by the judging panel.

6. Prize

One (1) winner will receive:

Two (2) Premium tickets to the AFL Premiership Finals match between Fremantle and Hawthorn at Optus Stadium on Thursday 3 September 2026, valued at approximately $600 AUD.

The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the ticket provider, AFL and Optus Stadium.

The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash or any other prize.

The Promoter is not responsible for any changes to the match date, venue, ticket conditions or event arrangements made by the AFL, Optus Stadium or ticket provider.

7. Judging

The winner will be selected by a judging panel appointed by the Promoter.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Creativity: how creative and engaging the entry is;
  • Originality: how unique and distinctive the story or response is; and
  • Storytelling: how effectively the entry explains why the entrant’s dad or father figure deserves to win.

The entry that the judging panel considers to best meet these criteria will be selected as the winner.

Judging will take place after the competition closes at 5:00pm AWST on Wednesday 2 September 2026.

The Promoter’s decision is final, subject to any rights the entrant may have under applicable Australian Consumer Law.

8. Winner notification

The winner will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message on Wedesnday 2 September 2026 using the Instagram account associated with the winning entry.

The winner must respond within 48 hours of being contacted and provide any information reasonably required by the Promoter to verify their eligibility and arrange delivery of the prize.

If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, is found to be ineligible, or otherwise fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.

The alternative winner will be selected using the same judging criteria set out above.

9. Entry requirements and disqualification

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants.

An entry may be deemed invalid and excluded from judging if it:

  • Does not comply with these Terms and Conditions;
  • Is incomplete or illegible;
  • Contains offensive, defamatory, unlawful or inappropriate material;
  • Contains material that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of another person; or
  • Is not the original work of the entrant.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to manipulate or interfere with the competition or otherwise acts contrary to these Terms and Conditions.

10. Content

By entering the competition, entrants confirm that their entry is their original work and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

Entrants consent to the Promoter reproducing their competition entry for the purposes of administering, promoting or publicising the competition, including on the Promoter’s social media channels and website, without further payment.

The Promoter will not be responsible for any claims arising from an entrant’s submission of material that infringes the rights of another person.

11. Instagram

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

By entering the competition, entrants release Instagram from any and all liability arising from or in connection with the competition.

12. Changes to the competition

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, subject to applicable law.

13. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with this competition will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at [Privacy Policy URL].

Personal information will be collected and used for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting the winner and providing the prize.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights, guarantees or remedies available to entrants under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
