Kardinya Construction Update

The builder Focus, Dowsings the road contractors and all Centre retailers are heading to a November completion – three months before schedule. The installation of the new modern travelators linking all levels of parking to the shopping centre are in their final stages of installation. Together with the passenger lift, there will be shopper friendly transport for shoppers and trolleys. Coles are providing all new refrigeration and freezer cabinets to their store, and a roof mounted refrigeration plant. Coles established a complete temporary refrigeration plant room in their loading dock area to enable the refrigerator and freezer cabinets to remain fully operational during the works.

New drainage, new grease traps, and services are in this area. The area has proved to be brighter and a more attractive space than first envisaged. It will provide attractive and protected space for food retailers year-round.

Fresh Food / Coles Precinct

The fresh food precinct reached another key milestone throughout the month, as the schedule of Lessor works neared completion, ready to handover to our retailers to commence their fitouts. The tenancy designs and concepts we have seen, are exceptional and we look forward to the many fitout contractors commencing on site in the coming weeks.

Remix of the Centre

Our strategy to remix and reposition the existing specialty stores continues, and we welcome the highly anticipated opening of Aurora this month to complement our fashion offer. Aurora has been a longstanding retail partner at Kardinya Park Shopping Centre and the support provided by all parties to bring this tenancy to life is a credit to all stakeholders. We look forward to announcing further relocations and shop openings soon.

Medical / Wellness Precinct

Construction of the medical and wellness precinct is well underway and the prominent location at the corner of South Street and North Lake Road is for all to see. We have been negotiating with many and varied medical and wellness specialists, and it is encouraging to see the high level of community support we have for the precinct. We look forward to announcing our selected medical and wellness specialists in the coming months.

There will be a big push in the coming months with all stakeholders as we look forward to the opening of the Coles and Fresh Food precinct.

Upcoming Events and Promotions

Kardinya Park Shopping Centre is buzzing with activity. Specialist retailers are being spotlighted on our social media platforms, including Distinctive Jewellers and our pop-up store – STYLISH streetwear, while Prouds the Jewellers is offering major discounts. Food lovers can enjoy fresh sushi and warm meals from Akana Sushi or explore authentic Sri Lankan dishes at Caffissimo. The Kardinya Markets have returned, opened on Sunday mornings, offering local treasures and a great spot for a coffee catch-up. Plus, Coles is promoting their Winter Weeknight Winners, making it a great time to stock up.

Retailer Information Night – Save the Date

Please join us on Tuesday, 7 October at 5:45pm for an important Retailer Information Night.

We will cover :

  • Changes to centre access and egress into the new multi deck carpark
  • A guided walkthrough of the redeveloped fresh food precinct
  • An overview of upcoming marketing initiatives and how you can get involved
  • Light refreshments will be served.
